Blake and Taylor | Downtown Phoenix Colorful Engagement

Blake and Taylor met while they were on deployment from the Air Force, him from the Australian Air Force and her from the US Air Force. For months they were just friends until they started to realize how special the connection was between the two of them.+++++

They found a special spot on base where they would go every evening to hang out and they talked about just everything. This is the spot where they had their first kiss and started to realize how important they were to each other as their love began to bloom.¬†Blake and Taylor’s relationship was so special that within two weeks Blake knew he was in love and wanted Taylor to know.

Eventually Blake’s deployment came to an end and he returned to Australia and although Taylor was worried that their relationship would fade while he was away, Blake made sure that wouldn’t happen. He bought her a plane ticket to Australia to spend Christmas with him and her trip there reaffirmed that their connection and love were real.

Blake proposed to Taylor while they were in Arizona. He says, “the night I proposed to Taylor, I took her to a movie and then to a dinner at the top of a mountain in AZ. I carried the ring around with me the whole night waiting for the right moment. After dinner we went for a walk under the Tempe Bridge and along the Tempe town lake. the whole time I was getting more nervous the closer i got to dropping on to my knee. I had a list of thing i wanted to say and the only thing that managed to come out was “I love you, will you marry me?”

Taylor recalls Blake’s proposal, ¬†“I knew he was going to propose that night, i could tell by his energy, and it made me nervous the whole night. But it was absolutely perfect, just the two of us, and on the way home he told me all of the things he wanted to say.”

Planning their wedding was a little more difficult than most people as Blake and Taylor are both stationed in opposite ends of the world. Since they were both in town for such a short time for the wedding, we did a last minute engagement session two days before their wedding. In talking to Blake and Taylor about what they wanted for the engagement session, Taylor said she wanted some colorful graffiti so downtown Phoenix and Roosevelt Row was the place to go.

Blake and Taylor have such a fun, loving relationship it is really fun to be around. The entire session we were all laughing so much and you can see how much they make each other laugh and their connection together. So much fun and energy surrounds them and I know that they’ll be making each other laugh for a very long time.
